What Happens After You Call
A new roof should be the easiest big purchase you make. This is how we keep it that way.
Free Inspection
We call or text on the way, then get on the roof with a camera and into the attic, checking for rotted wood, bathroom fans venting inside, and airflow problems. We go over the findings with you and quote only if work is needed.

A detailed scope of work with marked-up photos of every issue and its fix, then four or five quoted packages with financing options for each. Zero pressure: read it, compare it, call when you’re ready.
Same dayReplacement
Most replacements are scheduled within two to three weeks. We handle the permit, coordinate your materials and dumpster, and have a project manager on site from start to finish. We over-communicate throughout the project and leave your property cleaner than we found it.

You pay at the end, when you’re 100% satisfied. We register your 50-year labor and material warranties, and you get a Certificate of Completion, paid invoice and warranty certificate, digitally and by mail.

Our Story
50 Years of Home Service Experience
My father founded Action Painting in the 1970s, starting our family’s journey in the home-service industry. As a licensed builder, he passed more than just his trade down to his three sons. He taught us to work hard, take pride in our craft, and earn our reputation.
Today, my brothers own The Exterior Painters, Richters Beautification, and Ackerman Seamless Gutters, while I own and operate Roofing Army. I run the company in Metro Detroit with my wife and our two daughters, and in 2026, we expanded into West Michigan with my brother‑in‑law Derek leading operations.

He came down and told me that my roof is perfectly fine and to contact him in a couple more years to look at it again.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How soon can you start?
- Most inspections happen within a week of your call, often sooner. Most replacements are scheduled within two to three weeks, or less.
- Do I need to be home?
- No. Most homeowners are at work while we replace the roof. A project manager runs the day, and before, during and after photos are uploaded to your portal, so you know exactly what got done. You come home to a new roof and a clean yard.
- How do I know if I should repair or replace?
- Age and how much is failing. Under about 15 years with one problem area, a repair is usually right, and we will say so. Past 15 years, most asphalt roofs are in their last third, and repair money is often better put toward the replacement. We tell you which at the inspection and quote the repair when a repair is the honest answer.
- Do you offer financing?
- Yes. We partner with a few different lenders, so there are options for most credit profiles and budgets: long terms, low-interest and no-interest plans, $0 down, no prepayment penalty, and approval in minutes.
- What kind of warranty do you provide?
- Every full replacement carries our 50-year workmanship warranty, backed by Roofing Army and separate from the manufacturer’s material warranty, which varies by shingle line. If you sell the house, the workmanship warranty transfers once to the next owner within the first ten years.
- Do you use subcontractors?
- No. Our own crews do every job, with a project manager on site all day. Same people every time, so the quality, the communication and the accountability are ours.
- Where do you work?
- Southeast and West Michigan, from five offices: Oxford, Ferndale, Rochester Hills and Plymouth on the east side, and Jenison near Grand Rapids on the west. That covers Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Lapeer, Ottawa and Kent counties, and the crew on your roof starts its day at the office closest to you.
- Will you check my ventilation?
- Yes, on every inspection. We go into the attic and measure the intake and exhaust, because a roof only lasts as long as the ventilation under it. The most common thing we find is a bathroom fan venting into the attic.
